How We Work

At Burn This Firewood, we partner with local tree trimming and removal services to convert their waste into a valuable resource. Our primary partner is Texas Tree Surgeons.

Usually, tree services are forced to dump their wood waste into municipal or private landfills. While there are some facilities that convert plant materials to mulch, most of the trimmings end up in a general landfill.

At the same time, grocery and convenience stores sell commercial firewood that is sourced from all over the United States. The processing and shipping of the wood contributes to greenhouse gas emissions and can help spread tree diseases and insects.
